Man, chucky has to die at some point before it gets worse because when we see andy grown up, that's when the franchise got good again, and when Andy finally kills off, chucky that's when you end the franchise thats my option tho.

So essentially the first 3 child play movies were a waste of time since Chucky explained in Bride of Chucky that he needed the amulet to transfer his soul into a human which he clearly didn't have since they had to go to Hackensack New Jersey to go to Charles Lee Ray grave to retrieve it. So the ritual wouldn't have worked anyway.
